For most fencing applications, use a 9″ auger. The AGMAX AU230 (9”) auger is also handy for tree planting, making sure that you break up the hole walls with a bar prior to planting. This is important as surfaces “glazed” from post-hole boring can impede the establishment of roots. All AGMAX augers feature hardened, replaceable cutting teeth and pilot guides with a superior double-cut auger design.
